School Council
The Local School Council is a vital part of the St. John Paul II family.
About Our Local School Council
The purpose of the School Council is to act as a decision making body for the school and to give advice to the principal.
It’s members consist of a combination of parents and parishioners. Our parish priest and school principal are ex officio members.
The Local School Council is responsible to the Board of Directors for the Diocese of Victoria. The Parent Support Group is responsible to the Local School Council.
Members are elected at the Annual Public Meeting in May. Regular meetings are held monthly. Portfolios include: chairperson, vice-chairperson, finance, secretary, personnel, marketing, buildings/grounds, and fundraising.
We are grateful for the Local School Council’s contribution to our school community.
